Tony Soprano is a mobster living a double life.

He attends his children's (Meadow and Anthony Jr.) after-school activites right after having to break a few kneecaps to collect outstanding debts.

His mother, Livia, is a manipulative terror, his wife, Carmela, doesn't trust him and his Uncle Junior is plotting against him.

He is also obsessed with the ducks living in his pool. When they fly away during his son's birthday, he loses consciousness while lighting the bar-b-que.

After enduring a battery of tests, he is finally sent to Dr. Melfi a psychiatrist.

Oh, and he decides to burn down his childhood friend Artie's restaurant, so a mob hit can't take place there and ruin Artie's business.

Note: The pilot was filmed approximately 2 years before the series was picked up by HBO, hence the age difference of some characters in the latter episodes. Also, Father Phil and Irina are protrayed by different actors in the subsequent episodes and the pork store is known by a different name and is in a different location.
