Carmela is obsessed with getting Meadow accepted into Georgetown. She figures then she'll forget all this nonsense about going away to Berkeley. Carmela catches their neighbor, Jean Cusamano, and asks her to get her twin sister to write a letter of recommendation for Meadow. Joan, after all, is a lawyer and Georgetown alumni, and that could give Meadow an edge. When Jean reluctantly tells her that Joan said she couldn't do it, Carmela waltzes into Joan's office armed with attitude, a ricotta pie and Meadow's transcripts. She also makes it quite clear that she won't take no for an answer. After a terrified Jean tells Carmela that her sister wrote an amazing letter for Meadow, Carm smugly tells Meadow that she won't interfere with her life anymore.

The latest conflict between Tony and Richie centers on a wheelchair ramp for Beansie's house. Richie refuses to honor Tony's demand that he take care of making Beansie's house handicap accessible, that is until Uncle Junior mentions it. As a gesture peace and of letting go of the past (yeah, right), Richie offers up to Tony his trophy of toughness, a hideous 70's style leather jacket. You know, the kind with ten inch wide lapels and a belt. Richie's quite proud of it and tells everyone the story of how he took it off the toughest guy in Essex County. Not only does he make Tony try it on, he actually expects him to wear it. Obviously it doesn't hold as much sentimental appeal for Tony, he give it to their maid's husband. When Richie discovers this, Tony may as well have slapped him in the face.

Chris barges into Adriana's mother's house and proposes to her. What a change of heart a three carat diamond ring can inspire. He tells her that thanks to Tony he's going to be focused from now on, no more distractions and no more drugs. It seems like happily ever after for them.

Matt and Sean are busy cracking safes with Christopher, but feel that they deserve better. They act like jerks in front of Tony and visit Richie in a lame attempt to suck up to him. Furio then pays these two slobs a visit to collect Tony's cut and forces them to give him an extra grand. Stupidly, they decide to show Richie they've got what it takes. They ambush Chris in a parking lot. Even though he is seriously wounded, Chris manages to kill Sean before collapsing. Matt runs to Richie seeking protection, but Richie chases him off.
