INTRODUCTION OF TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT, A198 DUAL CARRIAGEWAY - LONGNIDDRY – MEADOWMILL ROUNDABOUT.

In order to facilitate & assist with traffic management whilst junction improvement works are being carried out, a temporary 40 mph speed limit will be enforced on the section of the A198 dual carriageway between Longniddry & the Meadowmill Roundabout. The restriction will commence from a point approximately 185 metres west of the extended centre line of the junction of the A198, and Dean Road, Longniddry, and will extend westwards for a distance of approximately 1690 metres.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – C130 WHITTINGEHAME – TRAPRAIN ROAD, WHITTINGEHAME

In the interests of public safety, the C130 Whittingehame – Traprain road, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with the B6370 Gifford – Stenton road, northwards for a distance of 0.6kms or thereby. The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C102 Standingstone road, the C132 Ruchlaw Mains road, and the B6370 Gifford – Stenton road.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE – U211 COCKLAW – STOTTENCLEUGH / OLDHAMSTOCKS ROAD

As a result of damage sustained to one of the parapets adjoining the Cocklaw Hill Bridge, (grid reference – E373106 – N6709140 an emergency road closure has been established with immediate effect. This road will remain closed until further notice. Pedestrian access will be maintained Access for emergency vehicles will not be maintained.
